Re: [Apple iPod] iPod as Boot Drive

Thanks, Kirk. It was as an emergency drive that I was thinking it
might be useful, not as a permanent adjunct to any of my Macs. Apart
from any other consideration, the battery would not last long enough
for further uses. I have a 5G iPod which I use periodically but
wanted to have a potential use for my 1G as well.
Regards
Susan

The iPod is not designed for that kind of wear - it means the hard
drive would be spinning all the time. I've tried it in the past, and
used it a bit, but I wouldn't be comfortable using it for anything
other than an emergency boot device and for a brief time.
