Well, bear in mind that they probably want to keep a clear distinction
between the classic/nano line and tho touch line, so I can't see a
much bigger screen on the classic. Radio? No one seems to care much
about it; other players that have AM/FM don't seem to sell to well.
External speaker? Useful for audiobooks, and not much else. Bluetooth?
Yes, I'd like to have tetherless headphones...

Yes, that's what I was going to say. 8 GB is not much.

I don't think flash is cheap enough yet for large capacities, though
maybe they'll have just the one big model (160 or bigger) and the rest
in flash with 32 or 64. I know that I finally don't need more
capacity; I check and uncheck music as needed, and my 160 generally
has 20 GB free.

But, again, I can't see much that they could add to the iPod. Unless
it's something very unique, I can't see upgrading, for the first time
in 5 years. Unless that subscription thing goes through and it
requires a new iPod (but I doubt that). I have to admit, $100 a year
is tempting to be able to listen to much more music that I wouldn't
risk buying.
