BEFORE it starts. Why should I even look at the screen, I've been
given it in a higher DPI format with space to write notes.
Also, since the tone of a message never comes across, that previous
paragraph wasn't written toward anyone in particular, just voicing a
pet peeve of mine based on the discussion.
I usually hand out outline type stuff with web links, things the
attendee would have likely written down on their own, that way they
have a reference page to take home, but I never hand them my slides--
but then most of the preso's I've done aren't heavy on illustrations
that the user needs, so I can understand giving out SOME slides on
paper so folks can take notes about the slide as it's discussed on
screen. It really depends on the type of presentation and also who's
attending it.
