Humm that is interesting. I built and presented a large 2 hour graphic intensive presentation recently and had no issue I used the all black theme for most of my slides but had a few others thrown in as well, even a few videos. I had no issues and was a little worried that it would be too much for the air to handle but it worked perfect............ In fact after presenting I had more comments and questions about keynote and the air then I did about my topic! 

I am working on a larger (4 hour) presentation and will keep a look out and let you know if I run into any issues.
