The iPod in general does not hold files independently from your
computer. If you want songs on your iPod, you must also keep them on
your computer, unless you do complex things involving manual
synchronisation, etc.

If you don't want the songs any more, then delete them from your
computer. The next time you sync your iPod, the songs will be deleted
from there too.
