Pros: Holds more music/videos
Cons: It's capacity is based on a hard drive which has more moving parts and is more susceptible to damage - especially when dropped
8GB Nano
Pros: Smaller, flash based storage, works with Nike iPod Sport Kit if you like to a work out with your iPod, lighter, easier to carry around
Cons: Constantly managing your music/video collection if it is bigger than 8GB
Solution: Get both.

Subject: [Apple iPod] Sizes of iPods
Hi, I was talking to an acquaintance a couple of days ago, extolling the
virtues of the iPod, and he asked me a question I don't really have an answer
for. He wants to buy one, and will probably get the 80GB Classic. He was
wondering (and I'm curious also), why anyone would buy the 8GB iPod Nano, when
for an extra $50, they can get the Classic with 10 times the capacity. I know
finances could be a part of it, but it seems like there's a huge difference
between the two. Also, I'm curious as to why there's nothing in between the
8GB and the 80GB,
Thoughts are welcome,
Richard in Baltimore
