I too would like to know what is being done here. We have seen people mess
about with the folder/file structure using Explorer/Finder and break the
links in the iTunes library.

Again, I'm not clear what is required. iTunes uses the Gracenote DB to
obtain album/track info for ripped CDs. This can be invoked at any time by
selecting a track then iTunes > Advanced > Get CD Track Names.

If an album is not recognised or misrecognised by Gracenote, simply select
*all* tracks in an album, then right-click > Get Info and enter the Artist
and Album items. You only have to do this once per album. Of course, you
still have to enter the individual track names via Get Info.
