You could try going to the settings menu on your iPod. Scroll all the way to the bottom (at least that's where mine is) and select Reset All Settings.

This will rest all your menus back to the factory settings. It won't mess with any of the content on your iPod but it may fix the way you view the contents.

list of song titles. Though they're grouped on the list by artist, the only way I find out who
the artist is or the album name is to click on the title and play each song in the list to view
the album cover and info.

Looking at it though, I wouldn't classify some of these as folk, I'll have to change some
genres I see.
