RE: [Apple iPod] Backing up iTunes Library

Aloha,

1. You can just copy your iTunes folder from the Music folder to the
external drive.
2. Your storage is limited on iDisk. If you have it set up like mine
is then everything in your documents, pictures, music, etc. folders gets
sync'd automatically to iDisk.

Hello Everyone -

This is my very first posting to this group......

I'm trying to figure out a way to successfully backup my entire iTunes
Library on something like a 500Gig external hard-drive. Here are my
questions:

- How and what do I to back up all of my iTunes Library stuff onto an
external hard-drive.

- If I have a massive amount of iTunes Library stuff can I zip it and
put in on my iDisk as a backup? How would I do that? (I do have
stuffit extender)

- How easy is it to pull anything back up off of the external
hard-drive to access my stuff? and would it be advisable to just use
the external hard-drive as the sole source for my library?

One last question:

- I'm thinking that if I backup up all of my iTunes library off of
both my iMac and Macbook that I can somehow be able to have everything
sync up with the same iPod......having the same stuff on both the iMac
and Macbook by accessing the external hard-drive so that I don't have
two different libraries on two different computers.....just a thought.
