I love it. However, I'm not so much in love with the iTunes software.
When I first downloaded it, everything worked fine. Then, sometime in
February, I got the notice that new software was available, and I
clicked "download now". Once that happened, the software could not get
track names from the CDDB server. When I tried to get the track names,
I got a message that said:
"Unable to connect to CDDB server. An unknown error occured" "Then make
sure your internet connection is active and your network settings are
correct, then try again."
I did all the things that the tech support suggested, but none of them
made any difference.
Then, a few weeks later, when a new version of the software was
available, I downloaded it, and I was able to get track names (and get
into the iTunes Music Store).
I guess you can tell where this is going. I downloaded the latest
version a couple of days ago, and now I can't get track names from the
CDDB server. I ran the diagnostics, and got the message that said:
"Secure link to iTunes store failed.".
I did the corrective actions described, but it still will not work.
Is it just me, or is there some kind of bug in the software, and if so,
is there a work-around for it?
Many thanx in advance,
Richard in Baltimore
