[Apple iPod] Podcast problem

I was subscribed to a podcast. Stopped listening to it for a while. Deleted
it from my iTunes and iPod.

When I go to resubscribe from either iTunes store or from the website of the
podcast, I don't get the most recent episode ... yet I know it's there.

Any thoughts?

I'm using an iPod Classic 160, a MacBookPro and all software is current.
