[Apple iPod] Making databases?

I notice that my 80G has an address database in it. I have a palm i705
that I keep my important lists. Make and models of all equipment and
toys, so I always know batteries and ink cartridges etc. List all my
records and some 4K CD's, books and more books. Anyway you get the
picture. Well I can list all these on a Palm and not even use 1 MB
including OS. So is there something I can acquire to do the same on my
iPod? Saving hauling one more device. Thanks ahead for your time.
