[Apple iPod] Music Classification

Is there any way to change the music categories used by iPod?
For example, instead of using Music->Artist I'd like to use Music-
>Album Artist.
I'd like to do this because I'd like to have better control over where
an artist is alphabetized. For example, I'd like to find "Santana"
under "Santana" and "Santana Feat, Everlast" under "Santana". I'd
also like to find "Ry Cooder" under "Cooder, Ry".
I could go through the entire collection and correct the
imported "Artist" value, but I'd like to keep the "Santana Feat,
Everlast" for intelligent (or whatever they are called) playlists.
I'd like to avoid having to manually copy the imported Artist field
into Album Artist - especially since it seems more appropriate for
Artist to refer to the song and Album artist to the Album (i.e.
Santana in my example).
