Your son is probably right. I bought the Apple composite AV cables
and now after having tried many cable combinations I finally get
picture and sound on my TV from my ipod videos. I have the ipod
classic and it's the only way I found to get my videos out to TV.
Those cables are expensive but they're high quality and there's a
charger included in the box. I recommend them.
