[Apple iPod] Converting mp4/mv4 files to DVD (mpg) Formet

Can anyone recommend any (conversion type) programs which will QUICKLY
convert mp4/mv4 video files to a (recordable) format I can use in a
DVD player?

I tried a "trial" version of a program called SuperAVConverter but it
took forever (at 13-hours it had only "converted" about 39% of an
800MB mp4 movie) and then it "crashed" before completion.

I don't think that the DVD2iPod programs offer the reverse conversion
function; but perhaps they do.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
