scenes where you have a group of people in color then you turn them all black and white
except for one circle, OR you fade out an entire group leaving only one visual element
illuminated with a spotlight, those things are handled within Keynote, no extras needed.
Only for the perspective/reflection thing do you need Quartz Composer. And, yes, QC is
imposing, very much so! But, when I found the perspective reflection tool in there, I
wanted to figure out JUST enough to be able to swap out that image of the wolf. That's
what I've posted the instructions to and it really is a cool effect when you copy then paste
that into Keynote.
I think with Apple, it's not so much of a programming challenge, because the tools help to
figure that part out. It's how to add the feature in a way that doesn't cause Keynote to
become more and more like the "toolbars a'plenty" Office apps.... adding widget after
gadget until it takes forever just to find the one little twisty bit you need!
