[Apple iPod] "Original File Could Not Be Found"

Hi,

In my iTunes Library I have 1000+ mp3 files in my "Music" and 1300+
mp4 files in my "Movies" folder.

I was nearly ready to transfer these onto my new iPod Classic 160gb
but unfortunately I decided to change the folder name details on the
hard drive on my Laptop PC.....BIG mistake!!

Now although the iTunes library still lists all the files as before I
now appear to have lost the links to the originals on the Laptop.

When I right click the files in the iTunes library the "Get Info"
shows an error box saying "the original file could not be found,would
you like to locate it?".

Does this mean that I now have to manually restore this link on EVERY
single file.....i.e. 2,300 times???

Or would it be better to start again and if so HOW???

Hope I have explained my problem clearly, can someone PLEASE help?
