had not. With the 7.7 version, it takes two or three minutes to recognize
the ipod (version 7.6 only took a few seconds). It also sporatically shows
a windows error when iTunes is closed and at times starts with the iTunes
folder open ( I ran a diagnostic on the ipod last night and today, it hasn't
done that the two times that I have connected it). I am using a 4 month old
80 gig Classic. I still have the 7.6 version on my XP laptop and connected
the ipod to it today. It recognized the ipod within a few seconds just as
my desktop used to. I think that I might try to find a copy of the 7.6
version, uninstall 7.7 and reinstall the 7.6.
