I just found out winamp will also copy files from your iPod to your hard drive. I don't think you want iTunes open at the same time. In fact winamp will manage your iPod too. I just ejected it from the computer using winamp. It doesn't look as easy as Music Rescue though, you have to select the songs individually to copy - you can't select folders - I don't think.
