I use a fabulous program called Markable for converting books on cd to use on my ipod. It can be used for mp3 files, or directly with a book on cd. The converted books show up in the audiobooks section of my ipod, and the speed can be manipulated on the ipod. I listen to almost all of my books at the faster speed.  Julie S.
