and iphones, and the glitches involving new iphone registration last week.
I had to force close itunes, unmount my ipod, and then relaunch itunes to get it to work.
As soon as I docked the ipod though, again, a freeze up.
A workaround is listed here;
I have not tried it myself but plan too AFTER I backup my itunes files.

As best I can tell the update is only needed if you buy an iphone, so I would hold off on
installing until this gets fixed.
