new car they are going to have to make sure my I pod works in it.
Linda
You guys make this sound like a piece of cake, and it is not always true. I
have a 4Runner, and the harness from the radio goes to an in-dash CD player.
Lucky for me the manufacture installed a new style cable that would allow me
to add an AAI, BUT, I have to rip out the dash and install the cable into
the rear of the radio. And without the know-how and tools, this is a bitch
and can cost. If you do not have the correct cable in the first place, you
have to buy that as well - mostly for older model autos.
I could have been like my son, and just a car with the jack already in the
dash!!

If you had asked here, someone would have answered your question about the
aux input in no time :)
Bear in mind also that many car CD-radios have a rear connection for a CD
"juke-box" and you can often get a lead that fits that with a 1/8" plug on
the other end. That is what I have on my Blaupunkt.
