Re: [Apple iPod] iPod Touch -opinions please-

I have a 60 gig 5th gen. I bought the Touch 16 gig as soon as the
Online Store came back up the day it was announced. I find that I
still use both, although not all the reasons have to do with storage.
I use my 5th gen hooked up to external speakers at work. I'm much more
comfortable leaving it on my desk during the day. I also load almost
all of my podcasts on to it. I also use it hooked up to my external
speakers and television through a Griffin Technology dock. This is how
I watch movies and television shows on my television. The Touch
doesn't work with the older docks.

When I'm away from home or office, I'm more likely to use the Touch.
It's much nicer for watching video than the 5th gen. For short trips,
I can even use it in place of my MacBook for web browsing and email.
It also makes a much better photo viewer.

My library is rapidly approaching 500 gigs. Currently, no iPod can
handle it so I learned to be selective a long time ago. I use smart
playlists to select most of the music and then directly select albums
I've recently purchased or want to listen to.

I would recommend the Touch to anyone who wanted an iPod. I would NOT
recommend it as a PDA or a laptop replacement. It's a wonderful media
player. No, I wouldn't really care for removable storage. I already
have too many cards of too many different sizes for too many different
devices floating around. Again, creative use of smart playlists is my
answer.

For showing customers, the Touch sounds great.

Best of luck.
