[Apple iPod] volume on ipod

Hello,

I have this problem with the playback volume on my iPod. I have
already adjusted the volume levels on iTunes. However it's still so
low that I need crank up the car's stereo. Then when I switch back to
the radio, the volume is too loud. Someone previously mentioned about
a device that is used to boost or have the volume on an ipod played
via the car's stereo using the Aux input. I can't seem to find it in
the this group. Could someone please help?
