external HD is. That's where my backup is stored.
Now here's a question: What audio effect does reducing the bit rate
have? High frequency rolloff, loss of low frequency, dynamic range
reduction, crack-ly sound?
For what its worth I'm in my 60's and my ears are not as good as they
once were. From the difficulty hearing and understanding high pitched
speech on TV the high end of my ear's response is gone to hell. In
other words losing the high frequencies in iPOD music is not a major
disadvantage.
