[Apple iPod] iPod music grayed out in iTunes

Windows XP
5th gen 60 gig iPod
Latest iTunes

Just recently all the music on my iPod is grayed out when I view it on iTunes. I cannot drag music from iTunes to my iPod - it won't let me. All the music that is in iTunes is also on my iPod and the only way I can add music is to add it to iTunes music folder and then automatically sync all music.

I cannot click on the music in my iPod from iTunes and play it, I can only play it from the iTunes library.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Carl
