[Apple iPod] Synching to Ipods, one Itunes account.

Last Christmas this group helped me safely get my son's first ever
Ipod (Nano) sync'd and ready to go Christmas morning. This Christmas
Day my son will be getting an Ipod Classic 80\ Gig but plans to keep
his Nano. Both will be linked to the same Itunes account. What
issues will we run in to ? I assume that on the 80M Classic there
will eventually be some video files will do not run on the old Nano.
Can he decide what will sync to the Nano and what will sync to the
Classic independently ?
