[Apple iPod] I can't view my photos

I have an iPod Classic 80g and have put some photos onto it. I can see
the thumbnails OK but, whatever I press, I can't get a full screen
photo or slideshow or anything. I've checked in the manual and I seem
to be doing all the right things. Am I going to have to restore my
iPod or is there something I'm missing here?
