Re: [Apple iPod] Battery Life

I work in medical electronics, and use batteries in many products. NiCads are notorious for failure and memory but after time... Li Ion is much better technology, which I think what is in the Ipods. They might use other technologies, but they are better than Ni Cads.

Id take it back to Apple.. its under warranty. Its rare, but it happens that a battery can fail early in its life.

what they say it should be. According to Apple, it
should be 40 hours on music only. My Classic is only
a month old. I'm sure I am not getting that so I
decided to test it. I fully charged it yesterady,
then played less than three hours of music only.
Today, the battery indicator is indicating about 1/3
empty. that is hardly 40 hours.
