Re: [Apple iPod] iTouch test drive

The trade is to get me to love the iTouch as much as he does, without me
actually having to buy it to try it. Which is why he's worried about me
syncing it to my computer -- he wants it back in a week, after I'm done
exercising it.
But my testing needs to involve using my own calendar and contacts
databases, to learn whether I'm willing to switch from a Treo to an
iPhone -- the Touch, presumedly, is the Phone the OS and functions of
the iPhone without the actual phone.
But he found in trying to sync with his Mac at work and PC at home
that each time, it reformatted and loaded the machine to which is was
connected. Now he only syncs to the Mac, and he's afraid I'll put my
stuff on from my PC and he won't be able to re-replace it with his Mac
calendar and contacts databases when he gets it back.
In the end, he does not want to be stuck with my databases, or some
merging of his with mine.
Hence the original question.
