Hello Norma,

I have a Classic too, and have very good results with the Griffin
EarJams (<http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/earjams>)

These clip onto the iPod earbuds and also act as passive noise
reducers. There are three different sizes of rubber inserts, to be
sure of getting a good fit, and the sound is greatly enhanced.

They also cost only a small fraction of what you'd pay for other
earbuds…
