I tried to convert "Mary Poppins" for my kids, but Handbrake 9.2
couldn't decrpyt it. I guess you're lucky that you are using an Apple
platform, because under the Windows Guide of handbrake, it clearly
states, "Handbrake on the Windows Platform does NOT decrypt
Commercial DVDs". I've read elsewhere that Vista has a block on
copying DVDs. Somehow, Imtoo Converter is able to overcome it for
some films. Hence, Handbrake is useless to me without a decrypting
program. ANYONE HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR A FREE-WARE DECRYPTING
PROGRAM? I suppose HandBrake is preparing itself for a Napster hit
by the Microsoft and Apple Nazis. Say goodbye to consumer rights on
this topic in the next few years. It's an utter shame that we will
not be able to use our purchased items as we see fit so long as we do
not duplicate them for monetary gain. I hope someone takes this all
the way to the US Supreme Court, because this is utter nonsense. Why
in the world would someone have to buy 2 or more versions of the same
movie for their different devices?
thanks again for sharing your experience.
