Re: [Apple iPod] Anything other than iTunes Software?

I tried moving the iPod from the MacBook to my
Dell notebook and I just plain didn't care for the
requirements. I have now moved the iPod back to
the Mac (naturally it had to all be formatted, and
then sync'd to the Apple iTunes, it couldn't carry
over what it already had on its memory <smirk>)
and I have since removed Quick Time and iTunes
from my PC.

QuickTunes/iTunes are a heavy real estate price to
pay for an iPod and I might not give up the real
estate again. I currently have a 5G video iPod, a
shuffle (useless to anyone but someone who wants
something quirky), and the latest pink Nano. I
won't buy any more for awhile. All three of these
will have to run off the MacBook. Young people
who like the looks, who buy into the aura of the
name, often have no idea what they will be
required to do to their parents PCs.
