Hello Carl,
As a Mac user of some 12 years (and Atari before that!) I'd be only
too pleased to help in any way I can —on or off list.

Getting another Mac is like Christmas—it's all there, and you just
have fun. If you go from one to another, you can simply connect the
two together with a FireWire cable and everything — profiles, user
details, documents, music, apps, and so on— is transferred painlessly.
Three things you won't be sad to see the back of: spyware, adware, and
viruses. The lack of crashes might be upsetting, though. You'll never
again have the excuse "My computer crashed and I lost everything!"
