Somebody else used my computer so I don't know if he
did something, but when I signed on there was no
iTunes icon on my dock. I tried to open iTunes from
the application folder and all it would do was display
the little Player thing. No Library, etc. at all. I
have a bootable external so i tried iTunes on it and
it was exactly the same...no library. So I wondered
what would happen to my iPod and plugged in the
Classic. Voila!!! Everything appeared as it should
be ( all tunes, lists etc) and has stayed that way.
Even with the iPod unplugged. Its now exactly as it
is supposed to be. Go figure. :-D.
