It is never a good idea to keep your battery always charged to a near full charge. Batteries need to be "exercised" and that means letting them run down; even to the point where the device will just simply power off with a "dead" battery. This keeps the battery life strong, so that the battery can be used over and over - hopefully for years of reliable service. By keeping the battery full charged, it will start to degrade its ability to hold a full charge.

I usually play my ipod plugged in, but am flying soon and want to watch
my own film/s onboard the plane. So is there a way to keep track of how
the battery is doing while watching the film? Also I have a Tunejuice,
that works from the 9V battery,to extend the ipods own battery, do I
plug it in at the start, or after the ipod has used some of its "own"
power?
