[Apple iPod] Getting artwork problem

Hi. I usually get my music from CDs and then, by highlighting all the
tracks in iTunes click on Get Info. Then having found the album on
nAmazon I drag the artwork image to the Artwok box where it shows and
then OK it and it usually appears ok as it should.
But quite a few times rtecently this has not worked and I can't work
out why. Can anyone tell me why it shouldn't work. I drag the artwork
over and it shows in the box ok, but when i OK it , it does not show
up like it should.
