That's not entirely true. The Classic still has video out but only
with updated cables. Apple currently sells both component and
composite cables for video out. I haven't kept up with whether anyone
else is yet offering them.
However, it would most likely be correct to say that a docking DVD
player, unless it specifically says otherwise, will not work with a
Classic.
