[Apple iPod] iPod wont eject.

Since I updated iTunes and the iPod software, I have been getting a
strange message when I go to eject the iPod after I have done a sync.
Message "The iPod cannot be ejected, because it contains files in use
by another application". I am using Windows xP and iTunes. Could this
message be a result of setting the "enable disk use" for the iPod? I
have used the safely to remove hardward task icon, but still get the
message. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
Hank
