Re: [applekeynote] Cross Compatible Export

If I recall correctly a group of objects with a hyperlink does not do well in QT (unless it has been fixed).
The solution is to place a shape over the group, no fill, no line and attach the hyperlink to that.

I have found when exporting Keynote to QT with a QT movie they like to play to the end before allowing for hyperlink action functions.
It's likely the same for a sound file. Anyone have any experience with this with the latest Keynote and QT? It should override, but then, there are a lot of shoulds.

Rex, give the group more than 7 minutes to offer up some comments. Questions being posed have been few lately, most times answers are attempted.

Stephen,

I don't have an answer for you, but I don't think this list is very active.
In fact, I had forgotten I had subscribed to it until your message showed up!

If I were you, I would go to the Apple Discussions and post there.
You'd probably be more apt to get an answer.

Hi Folks,

I use Keynote 06 to create my sound design portfolio. Most slides
have text or images build in (dissolve) timed to the sound embedded in
the slide (using the appear build). I want people to click on slides
to go to the next slide at anytime, or click on linked objects to go
to other slides. I've tried exporting to QuickTime and Flash, and
both had problems. In QuickTime, clicking seemed buggy. The
"hyper-linked" objects wouldn't always work, or clicking to go to the
next slide wouldn't work while sound was playing. Sound didn't seem
to be supported in flash.

Have these issues been corrected in Keynote 08? Or alternatively,
what export options have you guys found best for complex presentations
(many builds, hyper-links, embedded sounds in slides)? TIA ~Stephen
