Why don't you just copy the files manually from the drive you don't want them on the the new location where you want them?

Then change the location where iTunes looks for files.

thanks for your help Kirk, see my reply to Otto that I have just
posted and relates to what you have said as well. Can you help as to
my split drive storage problem.
You say that Consildation does NOT delete files. Are you 100% sure
that if I re Consilidate to E it will just add the files that it does
not have already?
I am paranoid of losing anything as copying from LP to iTunes as you
may know is a lifetime's work! Lol.
