Re: [applekeynote] Crediting pictures in presentations

In the academic world or the professional world it's likely considered proper form to source the stuff you use on say, a last slide.
Just as when a paper is written or a book is written.

But... I do not believe it is a requirement of your use of an image such as those from iSockphoto. I only credit if I want to use something and part of the deal is I have been asked to include a credit and/or link.

I usually pass and find something else.

Chuck,
I'm not sure I understand your question.
Why credit a site that you have legally bought the image from? The reason you will see large logos typically reduced in opacity over the body of the image is to prevent people from stealing the image. The only reason I could see you crediting the original source of the image is if you paid a reduced fee for using the image with credit or were given the image for free from the original photographer or image agency.

To answer your question about the copyright info, it is typically imbedded in the image EXIF data within the image (you can't see it). On a Mac, right click (or option/click) on the image and go to "Image Info". Copyright information should be there.

Cheers,
bill
