[Apple iPod] i can't search for names which includes numbers!!!

hello

I'm Hamed Sharqi from iran, I have a classic ipod160GB. in the search
menu it can't search for numbers and it can only search alphabetic. is
it correct or there is another way to search for both alphabetic and for
numbers?
