how do i download audio books?or podcasts to the unit?

I had to recreate my iTunes library (30GB iPod)and I cannot get my audiobooks or podcast to show on the iPod under their respective sections. They are showing up like normal music. Where should these folders be on the drive, or how do I get them on the iPod in their sections? They're fine on iTunes.
