[Apple iPod] "Get Info" on Ripped CDs

I have found the iTunes method for inserting info into the list for
newly ripped CDs probably the most clunky design I've ever
encountered. Say a disk has ten tracks, and some of the disks just
don't have information on them to insert into the Get Info area. So,
it must be entered 10 separate times. While there's an auto -
complete feature, that just doesn't work well. Why cannot ALL 10
tracks be shown the same? They're certainly the same album. If you
don't enter the information, iTunes will spread the tracks all over
your iTunes music library, never to be seen again.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
