It would appear to me that you are not first downloading the iTune program on your hard disk before installing it. You should always go that way and the problem that is worrying you shall not arise.

I suppose you know that you download iTunes and related Programs from
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ but I am giving the link just in case.

I considered doing that but if I uninstall Itunes and then still cannot
connect to the internet, I will not be able to reinstall Itunes. Any
thoughts?
