If you go to control panel and Add or Remove Programs, you can click on itunes and two buttons will come up CHANGE or REMOVE. Click the CHANGE button and another box will pop up to REMOVE or REPAIR. Click the repair button and see if that helps.

I considered doing that but if I uninstall Itunes and then still cannot

connect to the internet, I will not be able to reinstall Itunes. Any
thoughts?
