[Apple iPod] Conversion and Vista help??

Is anyone converting from the m4a to mp3 using Vista?

I'm using a free program from cnet.com called - "free mp3 wma
converter".

I have tried to convert the songs in itunes to mp3, but they only will
convert 99%. I'm not trying to convert purchased songs. I know it won't
allow that. I'm trying to convert songs I've put in from CD's. No
success.

The thing is....I'm trying to put music to a dvd of pictures from my
Moms funeral, and I wanted to put the music from the funeral on the dvd
to play during the slideshow.

ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
