[applekeynote] Re: Speaking blasphemy

I saw it too. And kinda disappointed in the transitions, here, too. And they weren't even
very good... ahh, whatever they were.

Where I was impressed with PPT is that you create a theme in PPT, and it (supposedly,
haven't gotten a chance to test it's limits yet) translates seamlessly to Word/Excel. I got to
see a demo of this and it's one of those things that I wish would happen on the iWork
side. No need to create a theme for Pages and a separate one for Keynote (or even iWeb
for that matter). Create once, use all over.

The QuickTime export is still there, as is export to iPhoto. Another surprising thing is that
the Media drawer only shows iPhoto (they couldn't state if it also supports events, but I'd
be surprised if it didn't). So, whereas in Keynote you have access to your music, photos,
and movies, in PPT you've just got photos. While the interface is a bit cleaner, they couldn't
figure out how to show me WordArt (just wanted to see if anything had changed there), so
can't say anything about that.

Keynote is only part of iWork. To learn/ask more about Pages or Numbers check out the iWork yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/iwork/"
