[Apple iPod] Problem with scrolling playlist

I am using a 4G, 40GB iPod. I make all of my playlists in iTunes and
then transfer them to my iPod. In the iPod, if the name of a
particular playlist is longer than the iPod screen, the name of the
playlist starts to scroll after a second or two. The problem is that
the playlist title scrolls so fast it is hard to read on the iPod
screen. Is there any way to control the speed of the scroll of the
name of a playlist?
